  • Small Business With a Big Conscience – Shop The New Pop-Up Shop in Brisbane’s Winn Lane

POSTED ON 03/12/2018 BY THE PRINT BAR

At The Print Bar we’re constantly inspired by small businesses supporting big causes. In the print industry we have the privilege of meeting and working with many of the people behind starting and building these local labels supporting larger social or environmental issues.

One such label is Infinife Designs, run by Matt Adams who describes his business as ‘conser-FASHION’. With a passion for creatively engaging the general public on issues of marine conservation, the label supports the Australia Marine Conservation Society with a portion of profits donated every month. Infinife Design’s latest collection ‘SOS: Save Our Symbionts’, has been designed to raise awareness for the conservation of our coral reef ecosystems by reimagining the faces of these unknown organisms.

In the lead up to Christmas Infinife Designs have joined forces with Nu4u Creative to run a pop-up shop in Brisbane’s Winn Lane from Saturday November 24th to Saturday December 8th.

Nu4u Creative’s ethos is similarly based on conservation and sustainability. Working with the Sunshine Coast Council and local dive groups, Nu4u helps to clean up and repurpose plastic and synthetic waste washed up on our beaches, while donating a portion of profits to Sea Life Trust ANZ. Nu4u Creative also works directly with women in isolated villages in Papua New Guinea to sell on their traditional handwoven string bags [Billums].

The pop-up shop will showcase the last two collections of marine inspired apparel by Infinife Designs as well as original art prints and the ‘By Catch’ jewellery line.

From Nu4u Creative you’ll find up-cycled, one off pieces of jewellery handicraft from marine plastic and debris, baskets created from a range of marine ropes and recycled materials, one off pieces of woven wall art and a range of handmade string bags [Billums] from women in Papua New Guinea.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hunt for locally made gifts with a conscience before the store closes this weekend.

Winn Street, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006
