It's important to make sure you have high quality artwork when ordering screen printed garments and our team can help you prepare that. But if you have access to a graphic designer you can ask them to send you your artwork in eps, ai or pdf format. We also use the Pantone colour chart for matching the colours in your design to our prints, you can see the colour range here.

Screen Printing works by transferring ink through different mediums on to your desired fabric. When you put on a T-shirt that was Screen Printed, you are taking part in an ancient culture that dates all the way back to 960 AD in China. Since then, screen printing has advanced and become a highly technical process. Since the days of the Song Dynasty in China, Screen Printing has been a large part of human history. As humans progressed through the ages silk screens were used as a method of transferring ink onto fabrics. From here on, the technology would keep evolving until the dawn of the computer age. Currently, Print Bar uses automatic machines and modern software that precisely facilitate exact amounts of ink to any specified area. In addition we also utilise some manual machines. Sometimes, there is no substitute for the human hand! This combination of processes provides us with the best results for you!

Isn't there always a best and worst with everything. The same is true for the inks used in the Screen Printing process. Waterbased inks and Plastisol inks are the two most commonly used in the industry. WaterBased Inks push the boundaries of normal Ink and offer unique advantages. They feel soft to the touch and last for a long time because of their excellent wash properties. Plastisol inks are the industry’s workhorse and have been around since the 70's. They are composed of resins and PVC. As you probably guessed, we use WaterBased Inks at Print Bar for it's environmental sustainability. They don't contain PVC, Plastics or any harmful chemicals.
